I Liken This To...

....Shrek's ears.

Damp, murky day today and not much going on really. Went out for our walk late morning and the countryside is busy as ever - fields have been harvested and ploughed in the three days since we last went across them (must be a big pile of turnips in someones shed somewhere). Hedges have been scalped and verges mowed.

The hedgerows seem to be dripping with red berries at the moment and the lichen is positively glowing with all the rain we have had.

This lichen (yes I do know how to spell it) always makes me smile - with its little trumpet shaped bits (no idea what they are really called). View large to see them. Makes me think of Shrek's ears!
