A day of doing turned into a day of meetings and organising, but it kept me busy.

Dad was due for surgery after 2pm today and they said the operation would last for 4 hours at least. So I phoned at 6pm - not back yet, then at 7pm - no, not back and finally at 8pm - he was just back; stable and comfortable.

I contacted our sister to let her know. She said she wanted me to keep her informed but I doubt she actually had any concern for his health. But I had to let her know; he is still her Dad.

More paperwork shuffling and letter writing needed before I can go to bed. But if I get it done now, I can relax and enjoy myself on my weekend away!
