So come on feel the noise

So come on feel the noise
~Slade

Today was the day we've (meaning Michael) has worked hard for the past few months. The Official launch of the Creative Apprenticeship went very well, and I'm not just saying that because of Michael (usually, it's in spite of HA!). There were a lot of VIPs who attended that said the same including Principle, Vice Principle, BBC, ITV all the way to the members of Slade.

The day was mad as I was teaching for an hour, which turned into 3 hours in whch time Michael was working on setting the final touches for the event. When I finally met up with him at the Civic Hall, an iron was thrown into my hand ... talk about rotten timing! But we all just tucked in and got done what needed to be done. Even the ironing.

The event kicked off at 2 at the Civic Hall, then we moved to the Grand Theater via the Wolverhampton Art Gallery to see pupils works being exhibited and ended in the new Slades Room. Throughout the day we were privledged to some excellent student performances, singing, lightening, mixing, etc etc. It was a brilliant showcase for the pupils, and indeed the whole of the school and the great relationship they have forged with the City and private companies.

To say I was proud of Michael would be such an understatement. He pulled off the event but he also has managed to established the creative apprenticeship 5 places, which will be 15 placements by Easter.

This blip probably makes no sense, so here are some pictures from the day.

Knew I was going to forget something. Slade was there to open the new Slade Rooms. Hence the quote I used.
