Another sort of impulse purchase; I always thought that a couple of tone controls were fine, but this just adds so much more to my sound. You really can get a very different sound from it, and one that varies a lot. I've had my Tele sounding like a Mosrite, an out of phase Strat, a muddy Shergold, and nearly a fat Les Paul.

That's probably what I'm saving up for next, although a noise gate might be good too; my Tele does hum a bit.

In other news, I finally took some of my inherited slides to get scanned this week, and I'm very pleased with the results. The guys in A+M were really cool about it; very professional, and some nice touches (like a contact sheet). Very nostalgia inducing, and I think I may take a batch or two a month. My mum divvied them up about 10 years ago; I hope my brother kept his ones.
