FIS Alpine Ski World Cup opening

Day 2 of our skiing weekend in Sölden.

The photo is taken at the upper terminus of Schwarze Schneid cable car at around 3250 metres. A few metres further down from here the FIS Ski World Cup is opened with a giant slalom for ladies and men every year at the end of October.

The weather was extremely good today, but much too warm (peaking at +7°C at 2600 metres). What a difference a day makes!
