Weaning starts here

On the advice of the very nice health visitor (yes there is such a thing), we've started weaning Monkey a little earlier than the recommended 6months to try to help her sleep a little better at night. It meant we had to start with baby rice which has to be the weirdest thing - it essentially made slightly thicker milk. But she seemed to enjoy it. My aim is to get her on to proper food pretty quickly and try not to make it too smooth but let's see. Am trying to enjoy it and not let it stress me - we've just settled into a nice routine (well except for the sleeping) and adding something else in feels hard but sure it'll become easier.
