Dumbarton Distillery
The last time I attended a football match in Dumbarton it was at the wonderfully named Boghead Park. Today the club play at the much more prosaically named Bet Butler Stadium, which is a rather dull little ground in the shadow of Dumbarton Rock. It has one stand and is surrounded on the other three sides by a grey fence.
This is of course another ground to be visited on the journey through The Championship.
The picture shows my view from the stand and it is dominated by the red brick remains of Ballantine's Whisky Distillery which has long ago ceased production. It does look quite good lit up by the late afternoon sun.
Football Footnote - despite a couple of minor scares Hibs were well worth their 6-3 victory. We are doing better away from Easter road!
