South Coast Scribblings

I wrote this up last Saturday:The view from our holiday cottage! Wow! This vista greeted us this morning - we had no idea what we were looking out on. I had been so busy navigating last night that I didn't realise that we're partway up quite a big hill ourselves. The weather isn't good today, and Paul is feeling quite poorly after the exertions of yesterday, so Stuart and I went out in search of food for lunch. We stopped at a local petrol station for fuel and found that it had a shop with everything we were looking for in the food and drink line, so had to look no further. We then decided to drive on in to Bamford and have a look and go back round to our holiday house by another route that went beside the local river for quite a distance - one of those beautiful tree lined rivers. It was raining quite heavily by this time, but it still looked lovely. We had a cooked lunch, and Stuart cleared up and is now asleep in the armchair! Paul is reclining on his sofa bed and I have been writing up yesterday and today in an office app. The mist is descending down over the hills again as at 4 pm - at one point this morning they were totally invisible. There are horses in the surrounding fields here - people have been going back and forth to feed and exercise them.

Tomorrow, we will hopefully manage more time outside.
