An inside day

There’s no way I can be coaxed outside today. On a good day we can see seven islands from the porch. Today we can see none, for all we know they are floating off Lofoten. South east wind + driving rain = stay inside. So it’s a day inside. Well, inside the Sheeps’ Hoose where I will spend some time cutting more wood and generally having a red up.

The Current Mrs Creel in venturing into Kirkwall for her piano lesson and a few messages. If the wind abates we may try dancing this evening at Stenness. As Henry Fonda said in ‘Mr Roberts’ - ‘That is all...’
