Cold Scapa Flow

Just back from my scramble down to the beach for this Blip.

Although at times the Flow can be threatening, dark, leaden-grey, foreboding, disturbed, inky-indigo blue, angry, menacing and very wet.

Today it has the freezing soul of an ice maiden. Confusingly it appeared to be covered in shot silk giving an iridescent sheen at times.

If you think the Hoy hills look dark and menacing - well they can be at this time of year.

Since walking back home this view has now disappeared in a veil of rain.
