Flying High

It is amazing
what I can see from my own
small Yuma backyard!

Up early. Emptied the coffee pot into my large cup. Clothes on the line before 9. A trip to the bank. Off for an oil change and car wash. Lunch at IHOP. A quick browse in the outdoor flea market. Groceries (6 bags full!). Home in time for an important telephone call at 4 PM. I'm exhausted and my feet hurt!!

These windsocks are very popular with the snowbirds here in the Foothills of Yuma. We see them at all the flea markets and some special events as well. I have one too. They come in all shapes and sizes. I like the ones that twirl in the wind. Each sits on a pole much like a fishing pole. It's made of fibreglass. That sits on a metal pole that's hammered into the ground. Mine is about 20 feet in the air. Part of the fibreglass pole cracked and broke off last year, making it somewhat shorter than it was originally. See mine!
