Identifying birds in the park
I've recently heard and seen some birds in the park enjoying berries in the trees. They were rather too far away to get a good view, and usually when I took binoculars the birds were absent, and if I didn't take the binoculars I could hear them, but not get a good view. Yesterday I did manage to get a rather poor view with some binoculars, and I think my speculative identification of them being mistle thrushes is confirmed. We used to have them quite regularly in the park, but it's quite a while since I've seen any here.
PS: They are much too far away to have any chance of photographing them even with my longest lens (full frame equivalent of 810mm).
