Sarah and I visited the Christmas markets, we ate mini-pancakes, bratwurst and many cinnamon flavoured things. Great fun, and I didn't take the camera so no waiting around for my poor girl. I think we maybe all Christmas marketed out, which is a shame as we are off to the South Bank one in a couple of weeks.

One of John's colleagues retired this week after many years with the firm. He's a keen fisherman and as a leaving present they bought him a course of fishing lessons with a celebrity angler (well not exactly celebrity but famous within the angling community!). He was gracious and polite but later admitted the "celebrity" is one of his regular fishing pals. So they have paid £500 for him to stand next to the bloke he stands next to every weekend anyway. A watch would've been simpler.
