A walk in a frame...

...for MonoMonday:Framed.
We did this walk with Pam and Sam the dog ( now sadly deceased ) in May 2012. These are the "field sketches" for a larger work in acrylics, now themselves framed and on our dining room wall, with the notes she made on the day:
May 12, Whiteless Pike, strong gusty wind, cloudless blue sky, NE clear airstream, deep umber shadows, foreground red greens
And here she is, sitting in the sun sketching. I remember the day - it was so sunny that my shins were sunburned...
