The Imitation Game

I went to see the film about Alan Turing, staring the ubiquitous Cumberbatch, in Manchester this afternoon. It was magnificent, very exciting, despite the fact that the endings of the tale are well-known; impressively subtle with great performances by BC, Mark Strong, Charles Dance and Keira Knightley.

Earlier, I took a number of photographs around the Town Hall, where the extension has recently been refurbished. This blip is from its rear. I wasn't sure whether mono was better than colour. I also liked the Dickensian look of the enclosed courtyard inside the Town Hall.

The Christmas Markets were bigger and better than ever. Despite that attraction, the scaffolders worked on.
