The Goldcrest
Back from the SNP conference this morning via a trip to Murrayfield last night to cheer on Scotland as they took on the All Blacks. Unfortunately in the end Scotland lost, but they put up a good fight and there was only 1 point in it with less than 10 minutes to go, until New Zealand scored a try to settle the game.
A lovely if slightly cold day today in Glasgow, but luckily for me this Goldcrest appeared just outside the window. In fact there were two of them and they were both jumping up and down at the window in a sort of weird display. In the end I think what they were interested in was the bunch of flowers in the vase at the window.
The Goldcrest is a fairly common bird in the British Isles, but none the less lovely for that. Some details about it can be found here.
