A Walk In The Rose Garden
After some light overnight showers a beautiful day looked likely, so I took an early morning walk to the Pethybridge Rose Garden before the sun got too strong and the wind blustery.
It is worth a visit just to smell the hundreds of roses in flower, as well as to photograph them.
Even at an early hour I found the sun leached out the colour where it touched on the petals. Fortunately there was plenty of shade still on the garden. This rose was tucked in a shady corner and looked like it was glowing. I have no idea of the name and will have to go back to see if it also has a nice perfume.
