Day 16 - Kala Pattar (5545m) - 7 becomes 3

Our group of 7 Aussies all struggled to sleep at above 5000m sea level in Gorak Shep. This resulted in a smaller team of 3 of us plus our guide, Ramesh attempting to summit the mound of Kala Pattar (5545m) which means 'black rock' in Nepali.

Kala Pattar teased and tortured us but in the end we just won and enjoyed the grandstand views of Mt Everest.

Joining our fellow group members we then started the long, long downhill journey to Dingboche (4330m).
