Rainy Views

Up bright and early this morning to head off for the lakes on a wee holiday! We drove from Rory's cottage to Keswick, where we spent the majority of the day wandering around all the little shops looking at all the expensive walking clothes and equipment neither of us can afford to buy at the moment! I treated us to a chippy, but we learned from our experience in Keswick during the summer to order a small, as the fish you're given is massive!

After wandering around and looking at potential Christmas gifts, we headed to our accommodation in Windermere....the rain on the drive from Keswick to Windermere was insane. The windscreen wipers could barely keep up! After we checked in, we headed for a little wander to scope out places for dinner before we headed out for dinner properly.

Rory treated us to dinner which was lovely. Pizza for me, pasta for him and cocktails for us both! One of the best pizza's I've ever eaten and from the bites of Rory's that he gave me, his pasta was incredible too!

We've headed back to the hotel with 2 Kopparbergs and shall hopefully get to snuggle in bed with a film if the Internet is good enough!
