Tree
We managed to get out this afternoon for a walk up to the post office to post a birthday card. It was actually quite mild considering it's been rather chilly and damp during this week. A house nearer to the village is having a load of work done, and we saw a man digging out the garden with a mini digger, and another workman using a jackhammer to break up the kitchen floor. As this was going on a lady on a horse came towards us looking quite concerned about the noise and the lorry blocking part of the road. Joseph was rather concerned too that the horse might get spooked by the commotion and turn around towards us. Fortunately none of this happened and we carried on towards the village.
I'm pretty sure this tree is a hawthorn. I like the way it has been shaped by the wind. I'm really thankful for the lovey lanes we have to walk around where we live.
