Radcliffe Camera
This morning was relatively unproductive, so I headed off to the lecture in the rain (forgetting my jacket), bumping into the Brasenose geographers who were getting coffee so I walked down with them. I was feeling pretty damp by the time we reached the department, but oh well. In the afternoon I looked at the climatology work we had been sent but just couldn't get my head around it, it's very maths and physics based and baffles me. So instead of letting myself get stressed over it I just decided to leave college for a while.
I had wanted to go up St Mary's Church for a view of the city, and was so glad I did. The weather had changed so much between the morning and when I went out at around 1pm. Beautiful blue skies, though a little blustery and chilly. I was the only person at the top of the tower and it felt unbelievably peaceful. I just took some time looking at Oxford. I feel so lucky, what a beautiful place that I get to spend 3 years of my life studying in. It's great because you don't only get the view of the Rad Cam but can also go around the tower for views at each part of Oxford. Beautiful. Afterwards I headed for my first visit to Worcester College where Bryony is studying Geography. Completely different to Jesus, and huge grounds, and soooo beautiful! It had been a great afternoon being able to just clear my head, have some fresh air and also get out using my camera.
In the evening the hockey girls decided to go to formal dinner which was very nice, and it was fun to socialise with them all off the pitch. I'm sure we will be doing more social events, they're all so awesome and it's so much fun. We then went to the college bar for a bit, then to St Peter's college bar (admittedly seems better than ours), before heading to Park End. All in all, not necessarily a productive day but still a fun one!
