Hanging Out at the River Mouth

Today's beachscape was completely different--sand had filled in the river mouth since yesterday, and we were able to walk out onto what had been an isolated sandbar at the base of the cliffs. The river is once again contained. Today's population is pelicans and seagulls, waiting for lunch to come in with the tide.
