Bizarre Christmas Decorations #1

It's the middle of November, so of course it's time for the big shopping malls to unveil their traditionally-themed Christmas displays: in the case of Cribbs Causeway near Bristol it's that well-known Christmas favourite, the blue and white hippopotami, covered in fake snow!

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall at the management meeting where they were brainstorming possible ideas for this Christmas and someone came up with this one; what were they thinking ?

The rest of the decor was pretty much what you'd expect so I guess they may just have had these knocking around in a storeroom somewhere from a previous non-Christmas display and thought, why not?!

I wonder if there's any mileage in a possible series of more "odd" decorations in the coming weeks?
