Can't see the wood for the trees.

Spent the morning going through some of the woods with the woodlands expert to see if there were any suitable for felling,and discuss if any grants are likely to be available for re planting. Most of the woods are up the hill and were planted 30 odd years ago to provide shelter belts,and as such aren't really commercial.But you never know till you ask , as timber prices seem to have picked up a bit lately.
Took a stone mad heifer to the vet practice to get it's foot treated. Should teach the vet students a thing or two.
Spent the rest of the afternoon bringing in another batch of cows and calves for the winter.
