The Cattle Egret

I returned to the Botanical Gardens late this afternoon on somewhat of a mission. I had seen several beautiful looking birds that appeared to be similar to an Egret but I had never seen them with such beautiful colours before. It appears that this particular Egret is the Cattle Egret and displays these colours only during the mating season.

Just look at that BEAK

The gardens are fascinating and it's interesting that every time we visit Bundaberg there are new residents taking refuge there.
