Never swerve for animals...

Never swerve for animals… That's what my driving instructor told me.

I travelled on a bus once from Melbourne to Apollo Bay and Terry the driver told us tales of his adventures along the Great Coast Road. Everytime we saw a dead 'Roo he said, "Never swerve for animals…" and every time we say a hole in the roadside hedges he said, "Never swerve for animals…". Believe me there were plenty.

In this Port Appin tragedy Baba Dead Sheep has been struck down by the local bus. Unfortunately the driver was turning around telling his passengers never to swerve for sheep, when up popped a woolly back. He swerved and cleaned out the sheep and the post box.

Animals were hurt in the making of this diorama.
