Lunch in Portofina

Thank you for all your comments on yesterdays blip from the flight over France. It was a spectacular view.

A big adventure today as we took the train from Genoa to St Margarets. Very reasonable price of 6euros return for a 45 minute train ride. Then the bus connection to Portofina did not turn up.... taxi 35 euros - one way!!! We walked back, which took us 1.5hrs, but plenty of photo opportunities along the way including Silvio Berlusconi's house.

Portofina is beautiful, but rather expensive. This view is from the hillside on the climb up to Castelle Brown. It was a gorgeous day of around 21 degrees and we enjoyed an excellent lunch of pasta with a chilled glass of white.
