Sinharaja Rainforest

Sinharaja is an incredible place. It's not a wonder it has UNESCO world heritage status, but unfortunately it's under threat due to the local tea industry and Chinese medicine among other things. Traipsing around we were overwhelmed by what the rainforest had to offer, but the highlight was definitely this guy.. The endemic Sri Lankan pit viper - highly venomous, but still hard to resist getting too close.

In other news, we waded up a river and jumped off a 25ft waterfall, because we're such crazy, fun people.
