`At the going down of the sun`

Day didn`t quite pan out as planned.
We should have been going down to London to the Cenotaph as we have done for the past 3 years, however, Chris had a late night last night with the football being at Southampton and he didn`t particularly fancy getting up at 5 to pick up the coach from Northampton to go down to London so he decided to march at Burbage.
I watched on the the proceedings on the TV before going up to Hinckley to place a cross on the Memorial there for Chris` Great Uncle Percy who died of wounds in France in 1917 age 24 and is buried in Godewaersvelde British Cemetry.
I then decided on a whim to drive to the National Arboretum....got there about 4 and it was still quite busy. Had a wander round took some pics and was coming back down the steps from the wall and this gorgeous sunset was happening.
I think the golden blob is the suns rays shining down on one of the memorials in the middle of the trees......all in all a very reflective day
