The bonfire last night was fantastic.
Fortunately the rain held off until the fireworks started.
After the "guy" had been paraded round the village, it was placed on top of the bonfire, and then the torch bearers threw their torches into the fire and whoosh, it was alight!
A wonderful firework display followed, and our spirits weren't dampened by the rain. Photos on my blipfolio see here
It was still raining when we woke this morning, but cleared by 11am, and so off we went to Holkham Hall.
The sun shone, it was quite warm, and we had a lovely walk around the parkland.
I only managed a few photos as the batteries ran out in my camera!
However I have done a collage ( Hope you don't mind another one!)
I was sat on a seat with a view of the house , and next to me sat Edward 7th Earl of Leicester, along with "Swazi" his springer spaniel. You can see MrC didn't mind!
The reason being this was a bronze statue, the Earl's wife had commissioned!
Also in the collage is part of the falllow deer herd, and a very magnificent male deer with some wonderful antlers.
