flying solo

what to do what to do....usually how I start my days when travelling. More so when planning or a list of 'to do' hasn't been done before landing.

When you ask someone what to do in Singapore they usually rattle off a list of shopping malls - and whilst they are something to be seen (gondola's, ice skating rinks & several kilometres of confusing corridors to name a few) there must be more than that to see?

Hop-on Hop-off bus tours may be the epitome of tourist - however for a view of the streets & some sort of an overview of where to go & what to see - this is it. Today I found myself meandering the Chinese market near our hotel, in Sim Lim for a new memory card, on a short river cruise of the city, passing the Marina Bay Sands & a night time swing around the Singapore Flyer (pic) and dinner at the Singapore Food Trail before catching the subway back to the hotel for a much earned shower...
