And so to another fencing tournament...

The distance Tom has travelled since the February tournament is nothing short of astonishing. Plum last 9 months ago, today Tom qualified for the second tier winning 9 out of his 14 fights over the day, including beating the eventual winner of the whole tournament.

There were tears - this time borne out of disappointment at not winning his division. He has evolved into a contender, and a precocious prima donna at that.
