Rengarenga Lillies
A late back blip for Saturday. Yesterday was busy, catching up on jobs around the house and garden..... only a couple of days away and amazing how musch growth there has been including weeds.
I did find time to take a photo of this clump of our native Rengarenas growing underneath an Olive tree in the garden. They are wonderful plants as they will grow absolutely anywhere in the garden and have lovely soft, drooping leaves and masses of starry ,white flowers. The only thing they don't like is frost!
Last night was my sister's, husband's family's celebration of arriving in NZ 50 years ago from Northern Ireland. It was a wonderful party at our local country golf club with bagpipes, Irish dancing, a lovely dinner and some great speeches and recounting of the trip from Ireland by boat with six young children. After the dinner we went to Sarah and Stuart's farm (the home farm) for a huge bonfire and fireworks. It was a great night.
