Looks very quiet - it was not!!

This was our practical working area today for the coaching course due to the wet weather conditions making it impossible to use the track.

The blip is the Bedford Stadium 4 lane 60 metre indoor track which takes up approx. a third of the hall. The other two thirds are made up of a five a side football area, badminton courts, long jump pit and High jump area.

It does look very quiet but to the left of the blip a five a side game was going on comprising of six 8 to 10 year old boys, observed by their parents and a coach – you would not believe the pitch and noise level in the hall.

There were 18 coaches on our course and it was impossible for them to clearly hear what we (tutors) were saying – even when we were at the far end of the track. We had to resort to briefing them in the reception area and then going into the hall to carry out the activity.

Hope it is a little quieter tomorrow as the weather forecast is more rain all day.
