Weekend starts here

The weekend proper, by which I mean relaxation time, began shortly after this shot. First, an early (for a weekend) alarm call to be up in good time to head out on a twin test photoshoot. This little Renault Twingo was one of the cars. An early Saturday morning makes a good time to shoot cars in locations that are too busy during the week, but become quiet and empty at the end of it.

We intended to use some ancient, heavily weathered and paint peeling gasometers as a backdrop for the shoot, but to our surprise they have had a makeover since our last visit and are now transformed, spruced up and freshly painted. So a bit of adjustment was needed, and a shift to a different part of the car park, but we made it work.

Just as we were finishing, I noticed this different angle with the little Twingo between some shabby and graffiti-ed concrete plinths. Blip sorted.

Heading home, I followed an L-plated motorcyclist riding one-handed while he gazed downwards at the mobile phone he was busy texting on as he rode. Idiocy rating, high. Survival prospects, low.
