A Lull In The Rain

Nice clear start to the day - but forecast of rain from late morning. So we took an early walk again - and kept dry. It just started to rain as we arrived back in the garden about 11 am.

Quick coffee at home and then we decided to go out for lunch to Linton near Wetherby. Nice grub in a proper 'country' pub - low wooden beams, brass pots and lamps hanging everywhere and real fires.

Whilst there we decided to go to Otley to take advantage of Mrs madwill's 10% discount card for Waitrose which expires tomorrow.

When we got there, the top of Otley Chevin (a big hill) was shrouded in low cloud. On the way back we took the scenic route down a steep lane (Old Pool Bank) and stopped to take a look at this view, with a brief glimpse of sunlight just picking out the houses in Otley in the distance.

Rain has eased off this evening - but still very wet out there.
