Fireworks.
Inspired by a fellow blippers shot of fireworks and acting on advice given we thought we would have a go. Clickychick had noticed that there was a display at the local Agricultural College. Having been before we knew they were well organised and safe.
We thought it would be advisable to get there early so that we got a good spot and could choose the best vantage point. We were there in good time and chose a spot right up against the safety barrier directly in front of where the fireworks would be.
My main difficulty was tilting the camera on the tripod far enough back to aim at the part of the sky where the action would be. It was just as well we got there early as the field was absolutely packed with people. I dread to think how we would have coped with the tripods if we hadn't had them up against the barrier with one leg through. One point to be aware of -make sure your tripod doesn't touch the barrier in anyway. Children climb and swing on the barriers which does nothing for your image quality.
After much consideration I chose this out of the 100 plus shots I managed.
