Savage pruning

The promised change in weather arrived. These trees provided deep shade just a few weeks age but have been cut back hard by the Mairie as is the case each year. Their spiky outlines seemed quite menacing as I walked past, quite in keeping with the sort of day we have had, a drop of 10 degrees and the advent of the first rain for some time.
