Between fen and mountains

Lunch on top of the world

Today we took the opportunity before the first serious snow to climb up to the Pla Guillem, a lovely 13kms walk up above the tree line to 2300 metres.  The views were magnificent and we saw eagles, vultures and isards.  The vultures were comical as they had been feeding and had to waddle up a slope, wings outstretched, to gain enough height and wind to take off.  The full Flickr set is here.
