Pescara Railway Station: the old and the new

Locomotive 740.351 is on permanent exhibition here. The 740 class was designed for Adriatic Railways (la Rete Adriatica) and produced between 1911 and 1922; a successful design, 470 of them were built. Fifteen survive, and several are now in service on tourist routes.

The modern station building was completed in 1987.
