Spending the weekend in Brooklyn Park Minnesota and catching up with Chris and Jo, friends for ages and their lovely girls.

28 years ago I was honoured to be best man at their wedding, and catching up with them in their lovely home is for me a joy and a blessing.

I love how these deep and long friendships pick up and deepen on reacquaintance despite the months and years at time between meeting, seeing Chris and Jo down the years always leaves me richer and better. Their girls too, now lovely young women are bright and lovely and hold a deep grace that reminds me of their parents.

Elsewhere in the day I've touched on the edge of America - the short drive to the coffee house that Emily works in alarmingly for this Brit offered me the choice of 3 different venues for colonscopy, alongside bagel, sandwich and nail bar joints. Still I kinda like this place.
