The saviour of the human race
Woke this morning to a rather lovely breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, orange juice, tea and toast!
We had a little Walk into the village of Inveraray and looked at all the pretty shops and the Jail and the Vital Spark which didn't look too vital and has
Lost her spark!
We came back had a bounce around the room and then I took Si for a wee brewery tour - Fyne Ales which sits at the head of Loch Fyne; not
A brew which was unknown to us; we had a taste of them before and we lurves it!
A fiver gets you half a pint and a guide round the brewing process. Gordon who was going to take us was actually in the process of checking the beers; so after ten minutes and he was still busy; Si got a refill for free!
The tour was grand! These are the actual brewers who are taking you round ; there is nothing they don't know and are happy to answer any questions
There is of course a lovely tap room from where you can partake in a pint and a moo pie made from their own highland moos. Or buy a cask or bottle or two!
We were highly amused to watch a bus tour of fifty CAMRA representatives from our neighbourhood descend upon the brewery to award them 'best in show' prize from this years festival!
And with that we headed back to hotel, had a swim and a bit of a splash in the hot tub in the pouring rain and then ran through the hotel in a towel to get back to the room!
Great fun!
