A day of big decisions
This morning we walked over the bridge and went to a huge and deserted beach on the other side of the river. The weather was beautiful. Had a wander for a few hours then to the Tree Hugger Cafe for lunch which is where this picture was taken. It seems to be run by a German girl and they do a very limited all day breakfast menu and drinks and sell some local handicrafts and that's it ... its only been open a few months and although very sweet, not sure how long it will last. It began raining while we were there and this pic is taken as we were sitting outside, just before a rather large rat was seen scurrying behind us and down the side of the restaurant so we moved inside. There are loads of rats here and they are not shy!
After lunch we went back to the hotel room and spent a few hours really thinking about what we are going to do next on our travels, looking at the weather, where we need to be when etc. We have pretty much come to the conclusion we need to get to India soon in order to have plenty of time there before the monsoons hit. We had been going to do more in SE Asia first but now it looks as though we'll make our way to India first then come back. We'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow.
