Hanoi Old Quarter

Our last day in Hanoi today. We got up early and went to the lake again to do some exercise then, after checking out of the hotel, had a leisurely lunch. This pic was a brief moment where there were no motorbikes in the old quarter. Really quite pretty when you actually get time to look without dodging traffic.

Back to the hotel to get our gear and then to the night bus. We had decided to walk to the night bus office as it looked easy. Well, the map wasn't easy to follow and after going the wrong way a few times and working up a sweat carrying our packs we eventually made it to the office just as it was about to leave ... phew! Hot and sweaty start to our overnight bus journey.
