The devil, the skeleton and the enormous pumpkin

Today's the day ......................... to hide away

It has to be said that we're not enormous fans of Halloween in this house. In fact we're downright grumpy and have even been known to put all the lights out and pretend we're not at home. Oh dear!

It's because we are well past the time of having children at home who are excitedly getting dressed up - and we haven't quite got to the grandchildren doing the same stage. It's also not the same down here in England with the Trick or Treat thing. Give me the Scottish performing guisers any day.

Had to admire these members of staff at the local supermarket though. They were really entering the spirit - and were very happy to pose for a picture. Just as well as there would have been no Halloween blip on this journal otherwise - and you might have thought I was a miserable old so and so .......................?!
