When Cormorants Strike.
LOUISIANA TRIP DAY 3 (Backblip)
"OK brothers, In this dispute with management we all stand together". "Oi, Burt. get yourself together. I said we all stand together. Stop preening like one of the management team, get your ass in gear and face forward."
Today we took a scenic drive to the wildlife refuges around Lake Charles, Louisiana. Lake Charles is an oil town and also has a bunch of Casinos aimed at the Texan market (There are no Casinos in Texas). It is therefore not an attractive place. It was nice to see however that large sections of the wetlands have been preserved for wildlife.
We had a great day and saw an incredible amount of birds including Egrets, Herons, Ibises, Roseate Spoonbills, Black Necked Stilt, Anhinga, Shrike and of course Cormorants. I also got up close and personal with an Alligator. I was so close I got a shot where its teeth were in focus and the depth of field started kicking in at his eyes. Today it was VERY HARD to pick a single shot to blip.
