Pumpkin Craft

I am involved in a program called Big Brothers Big Sisters. This is a mentoring program where a teenager from the high school goes down to spend time with a kid from the Elementary School. I filled an application out in the beginning of the school year, and handed it in to the guidance office. The next step was to be interviewed. The lady from the program came to our school and met with each of the students who were interested in being big brothers or big sisters. At this interview we were asked questions about our interests and why we want to be in this program and things like that. This helped with the matching process. We were then matched with a kid from the Elementary school, who was going to be our little. I was matched with a boy who is in sixth grade and likes art and video games. I met him two weeks ago. He is a really neat kid. Today will be the second time I visit him. Last week we played outside. This week I got a craft ready for him. Since it is fall, I thought it would be appropriate to do a fall related craft. I found this pumpkin on Pinterest and tried to make one. It didn’t take me long at all and I think it’s cute. I am going to bring the supplies with me when I visit my little so that we can make some pumpkin decorations.
