Mike and Sully!

My friend, Lex, made these pictures in her art class. She is in Portfolio Prep, so she can make independent projects throughout the marking period. She made these two squares into Monster’s Inc. characters. She used watercolor paints to make them. The green one is Mike, and the blue and purple one is Sully. Since Mike and Sully are best friends in the movie, Lex decided to give one to me, because we are best friends in real life. I have the picture of Mike hanging in my locker, and she has the picture of Sully in her locker. Lex and I weren’t always very close. In elementary school, we didn’t talk that much. When we got to high school, we started talking more. We ended up having a lot of classes together in high school because neither of us were in band, and we had similar interests when it came to picking classes. Last year we had every class together. All eight periods of the day I was with Lex. I was worried that we would get sick of each other. With the exception of about a week, we managed to get through the year without fighting. Whenever anyone saw us, we were probably laughing. We could laugh 24/7. In gym class we laughed the entire time, and had the best time. Our gym teacher would laugh at us because we would act like goofballs. Lex is a very good friend, and I know I can trust her. She was there for me when I needed her, and I can’t thank her enough for that. I hope that our friendship can be a friendship like Mike and Sully’s, one that lasts forever.
