Is this dying form of communication?

With modern forms of “instant” electronic communication, I’m sure the number of post cards sent is decreasing. I rarely send cards these days when abroad, as less than 50% of the ones sent in the past were ever delivered.

Postcards sent this year from Napier in New Zealand took 8 weeks to be delivered, about 4 weeks after we returned home and had given up hope of delivery. It was fun to get texts from the recipients saying that they had arrived!

This card is from R who has been in Brighton for a few days with the dogs. Early morning runs on the beach have been great fun :0)
