A rose.

The roses are starting to bloom in the garden. So I had a play with this one.
I've been having to do an awful lot of advertising and making up posters to promote our water taxi for cruises and other trips over the summer. The lodge that we did all the water taxi work for, sold back at the end of March, and despite the new owners assuring us that they wouldn't be going to buy their own boat and do their own work - they did!! We got this news in early August, (while on holiday!) it was gut retching, as it was 70% of our business. I've been told "It's only business, nothing personal."
So I just have to get over it, and do what ever we can to be able to continue to run the boat. My kids all tell me there is such a thing as "Karma." Maybe..... time will tell. As a long time resident, I have seen them come and seen them go from this Lodge. About 18 owners in my life time. This gives an average of them lasting about 3.6 years.
Anyway, on a brighter note, I took some pictures of where we live to send to my new found 3rd cousin, who lives on the Isle of Skye.
All very exciting, as until about 2 years ago, he never knew about this side of the family. My daughter & I are going to met up with him when we are on Skye next May......... Yes we are going again.
